Our region is facing continued climate change and increase in people, meaning there’s less water to go around. But if we all make one change, together, we can help secure water supplies for now and future generations.
Did you know the South East of England is officially water stressed?
With a growing population, the demand for water is increasing. By 2030, we'll need an extra 50 million litres a day to keep up.
We’re encouraging everyone to reduce the amount of water they use from 127 litres per person, per day to 100 by 2045. With our practical water saving tips, you can make simple changes that save both water and money.
We’re doing our bit too. From fixing leaks round the clock, every day of the year, to investing £260.4 million to cut leakage in half by 2050. We’re also introducing water recycling plants and new pipelines to protect water supply. This is a collective effort, and by working together means we can protect our water resource for generations to come.
